Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Attendant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to enhance independence, ensure safety, and promote well-being within home and community settings. Your energy and commitment will help create a warm, supportive environment for those in need of care, fostering dignity and respect at every step. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting to healthcare professionals as needed Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to safely assist with patient transfers and mobility Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members and family members Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, autism support, and working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is required Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining patient safety Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others Embark on a rewarding career that values your compassion and dedication. Pay:
