In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure safety and comfort for residents in various care settings. Whether working in assisted living facilities, group homes, or providing home health care, you will be a trusted partner in enhancing quality of life through attentive, respectful support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor residents' health status by observing and recording vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA privacy standards Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe patient transfers while practicing proper body mechanics Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices Follow care plans meticulously, documenting observations and reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, and families Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives dedicated care tailored to their unique needs.
