Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by checking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, supporting overall health and wellness Operate mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to promote safety during movement Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with care plans and regulations Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Strong understanding of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Certified in CPR and First Aid; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility for changing needs Compassionate attitude combined with energetic motivation to provide high-quality caregiving services Embark on a fulfilling career where your energy makes a real difference!
