This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities. Monitor and document vital signs, changes in health status, and report any concerns to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans developed by healthcare providers. Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times. Experience Candidates should possess a background in caregiving or related fields, including but not limited to: Home health care or hospice care experience. Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring for changes in condition. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred. Experience in meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home environment is essential. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
