30PM-8PM, 10HRS WEEKLY. Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Attendant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to promote independence, safety, and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, group homes, and home care environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns promptly. Support medication administration following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking to promote healthy living. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning client spaces and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with patient mobility safely and effectively. Document care activities accurately in compliance with agency policies and coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop or update care plans. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or group homes is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's), autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition promptly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment. Knowledge of infection control practices, medication protocols, and safety procedures in healthcare settings.
