Job Description

If you're compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping seniors live with comfort and dignity, this role could be a great fit. As a Caregiver , you'll support residents with daily personal care, medication reminders, meal service, social engagement, and other tasks that promote their well-being. In this role, you'll build meaningful connections, respond to individual needs with kindness, and help create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment every day.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support a resident-centered philosophy that honors dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality
  • Review resident Service Plans to stay informed about each resident's care needs and personal preferences
  • Check the Staff Communication Log and Service Notes daily for updates on resident care needs and health changes
  • Provide personal care services as assigned and in accordance with each resident's Service Plan
  • Assist with medications and treatments as assigned and permitted by regulation
  • Respond promptly to calls from the emergency call system
  • Follow infection control procedures and safe care practices at all times
  • Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment, including light housekeeping support as needed
  • Encourage resident participation in individual and group social or recreational activities
  • Observe for changes in resident needs, preferences, or health status and report/document them according to established procedures
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies based on training and community procedures
  • Report abuse, suspected abuse, or alleged abuse to the appropriate supervisor and/or agencies
  • Assist with other duties as needed to support residents and the care team
Qualifications & Physical Requirements :
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Meets all required in-service training standards
  • Genuine passion for working with seniors in a setting that values dignity, choice, independence, and individuality
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and willingness to follow dress guidelines
  • Cheerful, positive attitude and openness to learning new skills and knowledge
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift more, and spend extended periods standing or walking
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • General understanding of the needs of older adults
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or GED preferred Experience with seniors preferred Experience performing care-giving tasks preferred
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
