- Residential Treatment Center Southall Heritage Youth Home | Pearland, TX Group Interview Opportunity Southall Heritage Youth Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and engaged Direct Care Professionals to join our PRN (as-needed) team.
What is PRN? PRN employees provide coverage for open shifts, vacations, call-ins, trainings, and other staffing needs. This position offers flexibility while still requiring reliability and commitment. PRN team members must work a minimum of four shifts per month to remain active. Our Direct Care Professionals play a critical role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth residing in our residential treatment center. Available Shifts Applicants may be considered for one or more of the following shifts: Morning Shift 7:00 AM
- 3:30/4:00 PM Afternoon Shift 2:30 PM
- 10:00 PM Overnight Shift 10:00 PM
- 8:00 AM About the Role At Southall Heritage Youth Home, Direct Care Professionals do much more than supervise youth.
They serve as mentors, role models, teachers, coaches, and positive influences in the lives of the young people we serve. Successful staff members are actively engaged with residents, maintain a safe environment, and help youth develop the life skills needed for long-term success. Responsibilities Maintain active supervision of residents Build positive and professional relationships with youth Facilitate activities and structured programming Assist with daily living skills and routines Document observations, incidents, and resident progress Support treatment goals and behavior management plans Participate in team communication and shift transitions Maintain compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and safety requirements Overnight Shift Expectations Overnight staff play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of residents while they sleep.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting and documenting required bed checks Remaining alert and available throughout the entire shift Completing assigned documentation and housekeeping tasks Monitoring resident safety and responding appropriately to concerns Maintaining readiness to respond immediately to emergencies or resident needs
Minimum Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED Experience working with youth in a professional setting Ability to pass required background checks Ability to complete all required training and certifications Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
Valid driver's license and ability to transport residents when needed Experience in residential treatment, foster care, education, behavioral health, juvenile services, or social services PRN Requirements Must work a minimum of four shifts per month Must maintain required trainings and certifications Must be dependable and responsive when accepting shifts Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Why Southall Heritage Youth Home?
