Job Description
Private Duty Caregiver PRN/ Weekends ONLY The Private Duty Caregiver provides personal care and related services in the home. He/she functions under the direction, instruction and PAS Supervisor. Assisting clients to achieve maximum self-reliance. Recognizing emergencies and appropriate response in an emergency. Nutrition, fluid intake and meal preparation. Bathing and personal care techniques. Maintenance of skin integrity. Infection control. Transfers, ambulation, positioning and passive exercise. Assists with toileting of residents/patients. Procedures for maintaining a clean, safe and healthful environment. Reporting changes in client's condition to appropriate supervisor. Emergency measures procedures. Provides assistance with self-administered medications. Documentation on appropriate records. Attends in-service as required by state and federal regulations. Client's rights including ethics and confidentiality of care.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
High School Diploma preferred or the equivalent required. Preferably at least one (1) year experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home or home health agency. Reliable transportation required for an extensive geographic area. Ability to provide valid and current auto liability insurance if applicable. #INDCL1
