Youth Care Worker for RTC -Morning and Night Shifts

Responsibilities Assist youth with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and hygiene. Provide direct support in managing behavior plans and implementing care strategies tailored to individual needs. Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status, including medication administration and recording in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Support youth with specialized needs such as autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities through personalized care plans. Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development while ensuring safety at all times. Assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer techniques; perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces. Document incidents, behavior management strategies, and progress notes accurately following HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality. Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws. Collaborate with case managers, healthcare teams, families, and social workers to develop and update individualized care plans. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid certification is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; experience with hospice care or memory care is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to deliver specialized support. Strong conflict management skills coupled with the ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively. Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; comfortable performing physical tasks required in caregiving roles. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation duties; experience in child or senior care is advantageous.
