This position Involves Implementing Individual service plans and treatment plans tailored to each clients needs. Key responsibilities Include assisting clients with daily living activities such as grooming, eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, as well as promoting independent living skills. Staff members will aid meal planning and preparation, provide transportation in compliance with state regulators, and assist with housekeeping tasks. Additionally, the Direct Care Staff supports clients with ambulation and mobility, reinforces therapeutic counseling, manages medication administration, and carries out tasks assigned by a registered nurse. They also focus on fostering personal social adjustment, recreational activities, and behavioral skills training for individuals with intellectual disabilities, all within a safe and clean home environment. All services must adhere to the principles of the home and community-based services (HCS) and Texas Home Living Program (TxHmL) certification with thorough documentation maintained in daily services logs.

LIVE-IN STAFF

Position requires staff to remain at the home overnight and respond to any and all emergencies. Once thestaff engages in work-related activities due to an emergency, client injury or illness, he/she will be considered on the clock.

Work activity must be properly documented in service logs.

QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify for this position the employee must: o Have a high school diploma , or o Have a Certificate of High School Equivalency ( GED credentials); or o Have a proficiency evaluation of experience and competence to perform job tasks including the ability to provide the required services as needed by the individual(s) to be served as demonstrated through a written competency-based assessment (Conducted at the time of interview) o Have experience working with persons with developmental disabilities (preferred) o Be at least 18 years old o Have a valid Texas driver's license , a good driving record, and meet the requirements of insurability as set by the company insurance agent. o Provide at least three written personal references (letters) from people not related by blood which: o discuss experience in the job applying for; and o letters of reference indicating the individual's ability to provide a safe and healthy environment for the individual(s) to be served. o Provide proof of current CPR training/certification for ISS Employees.
