San Antonio, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time | PRN | Contract | Per diem $13 - $45 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Medication administration Patient monitoring Assisting with ADLs ICD-10 Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Register Nurse, Caregivers, to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure the well-being of patients in various settings including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. Nurses will play a crucial role in patient assessment, medication administration, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Provide direct patient care including tube feeding, catheter care, and wound management. Assist with IV infusion and medication administration. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Document patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene. Educate patients and families on health management and care plans. Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning to home or other facilities. Maintain a clean and safe environment while following infection control protocols. Qualifications Current LVN, RN, license in the state of practice. Experience in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living preferred. Familiarity with Kinser, Oasis is a plus. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is an asset. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, and specimen collection/processing. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on senior care services. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional nursing care while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism.
