Job Description

Overview Join a compassionate caregiving team dedicated to providing exceptional home care for a frail male cancer patient in Sealy, Texas Home. This vital role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a patient by delivering personalized, respectful, and comprehensive support. As a caregiver, you will be instrumental in ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity while assisting with daily activities and medical needs. Your dedication will foster a nurturing environment that promotes well-being and independence. Duties Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient's vital signs regularly and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately Administer Medications following care plans and ensure proper medication management in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the patient's dietary needs, ensuring safe food handling and hygiene standards Support patient mobility and safety through proper transfer techniques and use of assistive devices Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to coordinate care plans and updates Experience Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus Familiarity with assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs and experience assisting with complex mobility needs Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, patient monitoring, and infection control standards Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to support patients' emotional well-being This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential care that enhances quality of life.
