This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will be energetic, dependable, and ready to adapt to varying schedules, including daytime and overnight shifts. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing symptoms, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing personalized strategies Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans Provide emotional support through active listening, companionship, and engaging activities tailored to individual preferences Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to ensure comprehensive care Experience Prior experience working in home & community care settings or assisted living environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Hands-on experience with residents who have developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is highly valued Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience with hospice or long-term care services is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for client transfers or mobility assistance Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in nursing or home health care is a plus Demonstrated flexibility to work varied shifts including days and overnights to meet client needs Join us as an In Home Caregiver where your dedication transforms lives!
