Job Summary Caregiver/ Personal Care Assistant (PCA) North Star Home Support Houston, TX & Surrounding Areas Part-Time | Full-Time | Flexible Scheduling | PRN About Us North Star Home Support is a compassionate non-medical home care provider dedicated to helping individuals live safely, comfortably, and independently at every stage of life. We proudly serve seniors, adults with disabilities, individuals with special needs, and those recovering from illness or surgery throughout Houston and surrounding communities. Position Summary We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Caregivers to provide exceptional non-medical in-home support to our clients. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. This position involves assisting clients with personal care, companionship, daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and emotional support while maintaining the highest level of dignity, respect, and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transportation to appointments Provide medication reminders (no medication administration) Assist clients with walking, transfers, and mobility support as trained Monitor client well-being and promptly report any concerns or changes to management Follow individualized care plans and client preferences Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment Respect client confidentiality and privacy at all times Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous caregiving, PCA, HHA, CNA, home care, or related experience preferred Experience supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, special needs, dementia, or recovery care is a plus Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility support CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required Benefits Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability Part-time and PRN opportunities Weekend shifts available Supportive and respectful work environment Ongoing training and development Opportunity for growth as the agency expands Pay $12.00 - $13.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and client assignment.
