Full Job Description Resident Assistant Job Description Position Summary:
The Resident Assistant is responsible for assuring that residents' needs are being met in a safe, secure, and clean environment. As a vital part of assisted living facilities, resident assistants provide long-term care to our residents. They help them handle the demands of everyday life, such as providing personal hygiene support. Working hours are subject to weekly fluctuation,but stay full time Working Hours.Primary Responsibilities:
Help with tasks such as recreational and social activities. The Resident Assistant provides direct care to residents as assigned by Supervisor and or Team Lead. These tasks include but are not limited to daily living, which might include using the toilet, bathing and washing, dressing, cooking, serving food and collecting dishware and utensils. Maintaining necessary records including but not limited to BM, Hygiene, and Shift Exchange documentation. Daily household tasks. Assist individual residents with meals. Communication with Team lead,Supervisior & Management regarding medications, bruises, cuts, sores, potential health problems, and changes in physical and mental condition of residents. Report any abuse or neglect of residents. All employees are required by law to report abuse and neglect. Provide assistance to residents who have limited mobility by helping them walk or transporting them in wheelchairs. Administrative tasks such as answering the phone and greeting family members visiting residents. Other duties as assigned. i.e... training new staff and med passers.Physical/Sensory Requirements:
Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May need to assist residents with mobility and transfers. In compliance with applicable law, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions for the position.Qualifications:
Ability to work cooperatively with staff, residents, and families. Must be able to function in an independent work environment. You must be honest and trustworthy. Possess basic computer literacy. Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate. OR Must have certification of equivalency of graduation. Must have flexibility in schedule.Job Types:
