  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate caregiver to provide dedicated support for a male patient living with Parkinson's disease.
This vital role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting overall well-being. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in senior care, home health, or long-term care environments, with a focus on delivering personalized, respectful, and attentive care. Your energy and commitment will help enhance the patient's quality of life while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist the patient with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor the patient's health status by observing vital signs and recognizing changes in condition Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the patient with meal preparation and nutrition needs, adhering to dietary guidelines Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of the living space Document care activities, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings Knowledge of Parkinson's disease management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care practices Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in condition or behavior Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; certification preferred Familiarity with medication administration procedures and HIPAA compliance standards Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts required Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and family members effectively Join us in making a meaningful difference!
