Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a senior assisted living/ memory care environment. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote a warm, engaging atmosphere. Your energy and empathy will help enhance the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with memory impairments or disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and health status updates using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Support residents during meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Maintain a safe environment by using equipment like Hoyer lifts, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols. Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation. Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs effectively. Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and working with individuals with disabilities. Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond promptly to emergencies. Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic health assessments. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to connect empathetically with residents. Experience operating EMR systems for documentation and care tracking. Competence in personal care tasks such as hygiene support, cleaning, meal prep, and light housekeeping duties. Valid driver's license for driving residents when necessary; experience with group home or retirement home settings is a plus. Pay:
$12.00 - $13.00 per hour
