Overnight Residential Caregiver (Awake‑Night Staff) RO Center for Child Development GRO - Hockley, TX Full‑Time | 7pm-7am | Treatment Residential Program About Us RO Center for Child Development GRO is a child‑only, male‑only residential treatment program providing trauma‑informed care in a structured, supportive environment. Our mission is to ensure safety, stability, and healing for every child we serve. We are currently hiring Awake‑Overnight Residential Caregivers to provide continuous supervision and support throughout the night. Position Summary The Overnight Residential Caregiver is responsible for awake, active supervision from 7:00pm-7:00am . This role ensures safety, responds to children's needs, completes required checks, and maintains a calm, structured environment during nighttime hours. Key Responsibilities Provide awake, alert, and active supervision for children throughout the entire shift Maintain safety and respond immediately to any nighttime needs, behaviors, or crises Conduct and document required nighttime safety checks Support children who wake during the night or need assistance Follow trauma‑informed care practices and crisis response procedures Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment Communicate nighttime events, observations, and concerns to day staff and leadership Uphold all DFPS licensing standards, program policies, and safety protocols Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Must be at least 21 years old (per DFPS requirements) Ability to remain awake and attentive for the full 12‑hour shift Ability to pass all background checks and pre‑employment screenings Calm, reliable, and able to respond quickly in emergencies Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and committed to trauma‑informed care Preferred but not required: Experience in residential care, childcare, behavioral health, or related fields CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if needed)
Schedule & Compensation Shift:
7:00pm-7:00am (awake‑overnight shift) 3 to 4 days a week.Status:
