Overview We are seeking dedicated and passionate animal lovers to join our team as a overnight care giver for luxury pet boarding hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for dogs, cats, and other small animals in our care. Your love for animals and commitment to their well-being will play a crucial role in ensuring that each pet receives the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. We are seeking a responsible, observant, and compassionate Overnight Shift team member. This role ensures our facility remains secure and that all pets receive attentive, high-quality care throughout the evening and overnight hours. We have two shifts available. Actual scheduled times may vary slightly. 4:15 p.m. - 11:55 p.m. 11:45 p.m. - 7:45 a.m. (overnight) 16-35 hours per week This role will require consistent reliability. Candidates must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Key Responsibilities Monitor and care for animals overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the shift Perform routine animal handling, including feeding, administering medications, and providing enrichment activities Conduct animal behavior assessments and animal restraint when necessary to ensure safe interactions and prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of pet environments, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and communicate any concerns to veterinary staff or management Maintain accurate documentation of food intake, medications, and other observations Uphold all safety and sanitation standards to ensure a healthy environment Qualifications Previous experience in pet care or veterinary settings preferred but not required Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and temperaments Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality care Strong time management skills Internally motivated to complete tasks without supervision Must be 18 years or older Ideal Candidate Experience in dog handling and animal care is preferred. We offer an in-depth training program that allows candidates to acquire the skills required for the position. Prior experience in veterinary assisting or animal handling is highly preferred, knowledge of veterinary procedures is a plus Proficiency in positive reinforcement handling techniques and experience in pet care are beneficial. Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and moving throughout a large facility. Genuine love for animals, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and ensuring their well-being.
