Job Description
Atlas Advocacy believes all individuals with disabilities have the right to a self-determined life, individual choice, and a positive connections in their community. We are looking for a compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Support Staff. In this role, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to empower our clients, promote independence in their daily living activities, and facilitate community outings to enhance their quality of life, all while prioritizing their health and safety. You will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment where our clients feel valued, respected, and supported in achieving their goals. Additionally, other duties may be assigned to ensure the comprehensive care and well-being of our clients. Whether you want to work part -time day shift, swing shift, weekend shift, or night shift, we've got you covered with many options! Full- and part-time various shifts are available based on the needs of those served. Each group home location has 2-3 clients per home, with varying level of independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Person centered approach- recognizing unique strengths, needs, services to support individuals achieving their goals, promoting independence , and quality of life. Within the home environment, foster sense of autonomy encouraging client's to participate in daily activities and decision making process. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel or supervisor. Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, and dressing. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accordingly. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces. Plan, organize, and accompany clients on community outings and recreational activities. Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation as needed. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Collaborate with colleagues and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.QUALIFICATIONS
: The individual must pass a background check, have a valid driver's license and insurance, maintain a good driving record, and have a reliable means of transportation.Job Types:
