Job Description

Atlas Advocacy Services is a leading provider of support services for individuals with disabilities. We are dedicated to empowering our clients to lead independent and fulfilling lives by providing them with personalized care and advocacy.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or in community settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication management according to individual care plans. Support clients in engaging in recreational and leisure activities, both at home and in the community. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments and outings. Foster a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes the autonomy and well-being of each client. Document client progress, behaviors, and any incidents in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive support. Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in human services or related field preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and preferences of clients. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
