Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver working the night shift, where your compassion and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential support during overnight hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for our clients. As a night shift caregiver, you will be a vital part of a compassionate caregiving community committed to delivering high-quality home and community care. Your dedication will help clients maintain independence and dignity while receiving the attentive care they deserve. Responsibilities Monitor residents' health and safety throughout the night, observing for any changes in condition or behavior Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications and perform vital signs checks following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs, including providing CPR or first aid when necessary Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior care or disability support Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Strong understanding of patient monitoring techniques and administering medications safely Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times Compassionate approach to caregiving paired with attention to detail in following care plans and safety protocols This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to provide compassionate overnight support that enhances quality of life.
