Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for caregiving, with experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. As a Personal Care Aide, you will deliver essential assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of our clients in various settings including assisted living, home health, and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following proper protocols. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas. Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans as needed in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance. Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or nursing home environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for clients. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments. CPR and First Aid certification are required; additional training in hospice or hospice care is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
