In Home Caregiver

"SITTER"

POSITION -- OUR DAUGHTER REQUIRES TOTAL CARE AND HAS THERAPY APPOINTMENTS SEVERAL TIMES PER WEEK.

We are looking for a competent, dependable, punctual personal care assistant to provide daily care to our 32 year old daughter who is wheelchair bound and partially verbal. If you are a compassionate, positive person who enjoys helping others, then this is the job for you.

Responsibilities include:

• Assistance with activities of daily living (feeding, dressing, toileting, repositioning)
• Assisting with therapy exercises in the home
• Assist with transfers or use a standing lift (mo-lift) for transfers (training provided if needed)
• Driving to and from appointments in our wheelchair van
• Providing emotional support and companionship Requirements include:
• Prefer someone with prior caregiving experience.
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check that is required by Medicaid.
• Non-smoker This position pays $22 per hour.

(Medicaid pays $13.88 per hour and we pay the difference to get to $22 per hr) Hours are Monday-Friday 7:45am to 5:15am (to allow us to commute to and from work) We do have a small dog, a mini dachshund, which is our daughter's companion pet and will be in the home during the day.
