Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and comfort. Whether working in assisted living facilities, home health settings, or community-based programs, your dedication will help enhance quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering meaningful relationships with clients. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any concerns promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking to promote healthy living. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning personal spaces, laundry, and common areas. Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges or disabilities. Document care activities accurately in patient records and update care plans regularly to reflect changing needs. Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's care), memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and work with residents who have complex needs or mobility limitations. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a proactive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities.
