In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized assistance to enhance daily living, promote independence, and ensure safety and comfort. Whether working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings, your support will empower residents to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a nurturing environment while developing valuable skills in healthcare and caregiving. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained and report any concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Support residents during meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties within resident rooms and common areas Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility policies and state regulations, ensuring clear communication among team members Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws Assist with social engagement activities to foster community participation and emotional well-being Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support techniques, and memory care strategies Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support services Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities Certification in First Aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is appreciated Long-term care or group home experience will strengthen your application Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility safely Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams Embark on a fulfilling career where your compassion directly impacts lives.
