This role offers weekly pay and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Your expertise in senior care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities will help create a nurturing environment where residents feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient observations by checking vital signs and reporting any changes promptly Support residents with medication administration following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions, including memory care activities Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, hospice support, and wound management as directed by healthcare professionals Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control standards are met Qualifications Proven experience as a PCA or caregiver in assisted living, nursing home, or home health settings Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures related to dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and long-term care Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized attention Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as medication administration or catheter care are a plus Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized patient care Join our team to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve!
