Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Job Summary:

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides compassionate, non-medical, hands-on assistance to clients in their homes or residential settings. PCAs support individuals who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from illness by helping with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and ambulation support Assist with meal preparation and feeding, following any dietary guidelines Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean living space Provide companionship and emotional support Observe and report changes in clients' condition or behavior to supervisors Remind clients to take medications (as permitted by state regulations; no administration) Maintain accurate documentation of services provided Follow all safety, infection control, and care plan guidelines
