Care Partner || FT || 7p-7a 251 Patriot Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23185 Full-time Full-time Overview Join our dedicated team as a full-time Care Partner, where your compassion and hands-on support make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, assist with daily activities, and promote a safe, comfortable environment for residents in various care settings. Your energy and dedication will help foster independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care, implementing memory care strategies to enhance quality of life Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean dining environment Engage residents through social activities and meaningful interactions to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain accurate records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and document any changes in condition or behavior Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to prevent injury Support residents in assisted living or long-term care environments, including personal care homes and retirement communities Follow infection control procedures by cleaning and sanitizing resident areas regularly Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive resident support and safety Requirements Prior experience in senior care, nursing homes, assisted living, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration protocols Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or appointments Proven caregiving skills with a compassionate attitude and excellent communication abilities Ability to lift or transfer residents using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids safely Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus Flexibility to work full-time hours in various shifts; previous experience in retirement homes or group homes is beneficial Join us as a Care Partner || FT and become an essential part of a team committed to enriching lives through dedicated caregiving.
