Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional in-home support through 12-hour shifts, ensuring our clients receive personalized care that promotes safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition Administer medication and follow care plans accurately and safely Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized techniques Maintain a clean, safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Utilize patient monitoring tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's as needed for safe transfers Document care activities thoroughly while respecting HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Experience Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your suitability for this role Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and social work principles is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, healthcare teams, and clients' support networks Previous hands-on experience in hospice or memory care settings is a plus Join us at FirstLight Home Care where your dedication transforms lives!
