Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will be the primary caregiver, fostering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. Your energy and commitment will help enhance the quality of life for residents across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, and community care settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while gaining valuable experience in senior care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Provide personalized care tailored to each resident's needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote proper nutrition and hydration habits Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental health to healthcare professionals promptly Support residents' participation in community outings or transportation needs by driving when required Implement behavior management strategies for residents with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and dementia-specific strategies is essential Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid certification is required Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care in a compassionate manner Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is advantageous Previous group home or long-term care experience will be considered a strong asset Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting or transferring residents safely using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, and families Join us as a Direct Care Staff member to make a positive impact on lives every day!
