Job Description
Duties
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or individuals requiring personal care assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Implement care plans and follow specific instructions for each individual
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or seniors preferred
- Knowledge of direct support systems and techniques
- Familiarity with dementia care is a plus
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team setting
