Direct Care Staff/Caregiver

L.M.K. Incorporated is a Supported Living provider in Pullman, WA and we support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes. Most of our clients live with roommates who also have developmental disabilities and our Direct Care Staff members are in those homes 24 hours a day. We also serve a few individuals that live by themselves, on a more limited basis (i.e. a few hours a day, most days of the week). Currently, we are hiring for full or part time employment, for swing shifts(i.e. 12-8pm, 2-10pm, etc.) every day of the week, morning shifts (i.e. 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm) Sundays-Thursdays, and overnight shifts 3-4 nights each week.

Qualifications required:

18 years of age, High School diploma or GED equivalent, pass a criminal background check, and be able to perform light house cleaning duties including lifting 50 pounds. Qualifications preferred (but not required): Certified Nursing Assistant (NAC) or a Home Care Aide (HCA) in Washington. Experience working with individuals similar to the clients we serve; the ability to work independently; medical charting and record keeping, strong cleaning skills and work ethic. Training requirements for this position include: 5 hours of safety and orientation training; 40 hours of classroom training (DDA Residential Services Training); and 30 additional hours of training that usually includes client specific Peer Coaching, CPR and First Aid, and blood borne pathogen/HIV training (75 hours total). There are some exemptions from this training, such as being a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which can be discussed during an interview. All training, including continuing education, is paid training.
