This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide essential support with dignity, respect, and enthusiasm. You will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence and comfort. Whether working in private homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes, your dedication will make a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their condition to ensure safety and well-being; report any changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Document patient observations, care activities, and progress accurately in compliance with healthcare standards. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities while ensuring safety during transfers using appropriate manual handling methods. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia. Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication management, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response protocols like CPR and First Aid. Experience supporting residents with Alzheimer's care or memory care needs is advantageous. Familiarity with care plans development and implementation to meet individual needs while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards. Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs using manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts. Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, social workers, families, and residents to promote holistic care.
