We are seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to join our team at Farr Residential Care. This position supports residents in both our assisted living and secure memory care communities. The role requires patience, strong observation skills, and the ability to recognize and report changes in condition while assisting residents with daily needs. Overnight (NOC)
- Assisted Living Sunday-Wednesday | 10:00pm-8:00am Overnight (NOC)
- Memory Care Sunday-Wednesday | 10:00pm-8:00am (Minimum 1 year of dementia experience required) Overnight (NOC) Thursday-Saturday | 7:30pm-8:30am Day / Evening
- Shift includes one Med Tech Day Wednesday | 7:00am-8:00pm (Med Tech Day/Evening) Thursday-Saturday | 11:00am-8:00pm (Minimum 1 year of Med Tech experience in a facility setting required) Why work with us: We offer four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts Never required to work both weekend days High staffing ratios + onsite management 24/7 on-call support What you'll do: Assist residents with daily care needs while promoting dignity, independence, and respect at all times.
Support residents with daily routines through guidance, cueing, and reminders based on individual needs, while encouraging independence with hygiene, household tasks, and daily activities when appropriate. Monitor residents for changes in condition, behavior, or mood and report concerns immediately to the RN, House Manager, or Director. Demonstrate understanding of what constitutes a change in condition and respond appropriately. Prepare residents for scheduled activities and appointments as needed and assist with structured activities and engagement opportunities throughout the day. Accurately obtain and record vital signs and weights and complete daily documentation and required progress notes as assigned. Assist with light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry as needed, and support dining room operations including meal set-up, serving, and clean-up. Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information at all times. Build respectful, professional relationships with residents while providing consistent support. Work as part of a team while demonstrating reliability, compassion, patience, and professionalism. Remain calm and supportive in stressful or challenging situations, using redirection and de-escalation techniques as needed. Follow all safety procedures, policies, and directions from supervising staff. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Skills & Qualifications:
1+ year of experience working in a caregiving, dementia care, or direct support setting in a licensed facility Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and accuracy Compassion, patience, and emotional stability Ability to remain calm and supportive in stressful or unpredictable situations Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition or behavior Ability to support resident independence while providing appropriate levels of care Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Requirements:
Ability to pass WA State background check Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred (Not Required at Time of Application): Active Home Care Aide (HCA), CNA or NAR CPR/First Aid (training provided) Dementia / Mental Health / Developmental Disabilities certification Required by
