Responsible for assisting clients during evening hours when clinical staff is minimal. To ensure smooth operation of the Isabella House during non-standard business hours.Qualifications/Skills:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred or two (2) years of human service experience preferred. Needs strong interpersonal communication, empathic, organizational and multitasking abilities. Must be detail oriented and maintain strict ethical and professional boundaries, willingness to work in a change based environment and have a good use independent critical thinking.Special Requirements:
Must maintain valid driver's license and be insurable by Agency insurance. Job sits, stands, drives and climb stairs. Minimal lifting and bending required.Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality per CFR part 2, HIPAA, ethical conduct and professional boundaries Maintain an understanding of Isabella House policies and procedures Interact with patients throughout the house from beginning of shift until bedtime, monitoring patient compliance with house rules and treatment plan. Provide useful observations during shift regarding patient behavior, dynamics to aid other staff in performance of their jobs. Read logbook prior to or at beginning of shift, note requests from supervisors, therapy staff and current patient issues. Log in legal logbook pertinent information regarding residents during your shift. Entries should be objective and concise, yet descriptive enough to be useful to other readers. Participate with crisis intervention training and implement crisis intervention procedures when appropriate. Give brief oral report to shift replacement to include shift problems, unfinished business and any instructions that can not wait until replacement staff has an opportunity to review the log. Insure all health and safety codes are followed i.e. fire drills, CPR, bed checks etc… Monitor and supervise visitors during specific visiting times. Ensure security of the facility by making random hourly head counts throughout the shift, make grounds checks throughout the shift and set alarms, lock doors at bedtime. Supervise and record UA's/BA's when necessary. Attend staff meetings and required training sessions. Provide support for the residents and become involved with group functions when appropriate as directed by your supervisors. Maintain ethical and professional conduct at all times. Operate NHCC vehicles when client transport is needed and stay in compliance with traffic regulations. Conduct scheduled medication calls as required, ensure medication is taken as prescribed by patients and in compliance with all medication policies and procedures. Complete all required forms upon patient arrival/discharge including linen inventory and release of information, intake forms and document in logbook. Check through patient belongings to ensure patient and house safety. Provide receipts for prohibited items, valuables and return bus tickets and store in safe place. Assist in training of new employees (senior staff only) Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Type:
