Job Description

Make a difference in the daily life of a young person. Stepping Stones NW is a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) in Vancouver, Washington, serving up to three youth ages 7-17 with complex behavioral health needs. We are licensed by Washington DCYF, contracted under BRS, and pursuing Joint Commission accreditation. Our team practices trauma-informed care, Right Response de-escalation, and evidence-based daily routines. We are hiring Direct Care Professionals to join our team. This is meaningful, hands-on work — three youth, one program, real relationships. Who we're looking for Compassionate adults (21+, per Washington

) who want to mentor youth through one of the hardest seasons of their lives Calm under pressure — you can hold steady when a youth is escalating Reliable, consistent, on time — youth in placement need predictable adults Open to learning trauma-informed practice, Right Response, and medication pass procedures Comfortable with documentation (we use Therap) and end-of-shift handoffs What you'll do Be the steady adult presence on shift — meals, school support, recreation, community outings, bedtime Coach youth through hard moments using Right Response de-escalation Support medication pass under Lead Staff oversight Respond to emergencies with the team — fire, medical, lockdown drills Document the shift in Therap so the next team picks up cleanly What we offer $22-$24/hour DOE with documented step increases tied to competency and tenure Paid training: First Aid/CPR, Right Response, Bloodborne Pathogens, Mandated Reporter, HIPAA A 30-60 day shadow-shift onboarding ramp — you are never thrown in alone Lead Staff on every shift to coach you in real time Clear policies, posted shift checklists, and a binder for every procedure — no guessing Meaningful work — three youth, one program, real relationships Basic requirements (per Washington
