Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. You must have an active NAR-G, HCA, or CNA certification to move forward with employment. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Help with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them safely. Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs while adhering to any specific dietary restrictions. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist clients with memory care and dementia-related challenges as needed. Provide hospice care support for clients in need of end-of-life assistance. Requirements Previous experience in home care or senior care is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Familiarity with dementia care techniques is beneficial. Ability to lift and assist clients safely is essential. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are required. Must adhere to all health and safety protocols, including HIPAA compliance. A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs and location.
