Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an In-Home Care Provider and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. In this vital role, you will deliver compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being in the comfort of clients' homes. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each person receives the highest quality support tailored to their unique needs. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to empower individuals through attentive caregiving, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote hygiene and comfort. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering social engagement for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other developmental disabilities. Maintain detailed records of patient observations, care provided, and any incidents or concerns observed during shifts. Follow all safety procedures related to home & community care, hospice care, assisted living environments, and resident-specific protocols. Experience Prior experience in home health care or long-term care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and first aid/CPR certification is essential. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of patient care. Proven ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and the use of mobility aids like Hoyer lifts safely. Background working in group homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities enhances understanding of diverse care environments. Strong social work skills help foster positive relationships with clients and their families while supporting emotional well-being.
