Mentor/Respite Provider

CLTS Mentor, Skills Worker, & Respite Provider Part-Time | Now Hiring in: Chippewa County About the Role We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and creative mentors, skills workers, and respite providers to support children and families in the Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program . This position focuses on helping children and youth build independent living skills, social-emotional growth, and community engagement through positive, strength-based activities. Support may include (but is not limited to): Mentoring and skill development Supporting daily living and social skills Encouraging creative expression through art, music, yoga, sports, and play Working toward individualized goals Providing safe and supportive respite care for families

Position Details Part-Time & Flexible:

Primarily after-school hours, evenings, and some weekends

Hours Vary:

Work depends on referrals — some weeks may be just a few hours, and other weeks up to 20. If there are no current clients, hours pause until new referrals come in. This is a casual, flexible position that adapts as clients' needs arise.

Respite Opportunities:

May include short shifts or overnight care

Pay:

Starting at $18/hr Respite rates vary depending on the level of care and client needs

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record and car insurance Ideal Candidates Passionate about supporting children and youth with diverse needs Prefer experience working with youth who have developmental, behavioral, or mental health diagnoses , and who may come from challenging backgrounds Responsible, dependable, and engaging Experience in education, mental health, caregiving, art, yoga, or recreation is a plus Must pass a background check Join Our Team Make a difference in a child's life while enjoying meaningful, flexible work!
