Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Caregiver at an Adult Family Home, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in health status Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers Flexibility to work various shifts in a dynamic caregiving environment Join us in creating a caring community where every resident feels valued, supported, and safe.
