Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Home caregiver/supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations within a residential care setting dedicated to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents while managing staff, implementing care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your leadership will foster a team-oriented atmosphere that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for every resident. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of staff members to ensure high-quality care delivery in accordance with individual care plans. Oversee medication administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols. Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including memory care and dementia-specific strategies. Manage operational aspects such as budgeting, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to maintain efficient group home functions. Lead staff training initiatives focused on assisted living techniques, nursing practices, and emergency response procedures. Monitor residents' health status closely, collaborating with healthcare professionals to address medical needs promptly. Foster positive relationships with residents' families and community partners to support ongoing resident well-being and integration. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with IDD. Supervising or management experience in group home or community care settings is essential. Strong knowledge of medication management, and resident safety standards. Familiarity with developing and executing individualized care plans aligned with residents' needs. Excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of caregivers and support staff. Demonstrated financial acumen for budgeting and resource management within a healthcare setting. Background in social work or related fields is preferred but not required; a passion for enhancing residents' quality of life is essential. Join us in making a meaningful difference!
