OAKS FAMILY CARE CENTERS
Oaks provides daily living supportive home care assistance to residence in brown county whom live independently along w/ those in our current
CBRF/AFH
facilities. The Residential Care Worker (RCW) is responsible for assisting in daily living tasks, personal care and support, and ensuring the personal safety and welfare of physically disabled, medically and behaviorally challenged individuals in a residential setting while serving as an effective role model. This is a FT position which includes paid training and paid (approved) overtime. The RCW job entails being active and present with your clients, duties include but not limited to: Assist clients with hygiene and personal care, including brushing teeth, bathing, using the restroom and dressing assist in administering medications and monitoring well-being, reporting changes in condition to program manager. Maintain a clean and organized space by completing tasks such as changing linens, washing laundry and performing basic household cleaning. Encourage physical activity, mental alertness and social involvement by planning and participating in activities such as going for walks or playing games Communicate in positive and effective manner between your co-workers and other personnel to support and encourage an environment that is safe and productive to all residents Complete written reports at the end of each shift regarding the resident's condition, behavior, and incidents of concern, whereabouts and personal needs using communication book and resident's information sheets. Read and initial the Communication Books at the beginning of each shift and be aware of any changes in procedures and treatments. Maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the agency, employees, and residents. Report any conflicts or concerns relating to the residents or House to program manager
Reqiured:
High school diploma or equivalent degree Compassionate, trustworthy and dependable
