As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering both physical and emotional support. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in various settings, including home health, long-term care facilities, and memory care environments. Duties Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Assist with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility and transfers. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document client care activities accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel. Support clients with memory care needs through specialized techniques and activities tailored to their cognitive abilities. Collaborate with healthcare teams, including social workers and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care for each client. Qualifications Previous experience in home health or caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of patient care practices and principles related to long-term care and home community care. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
