Job Description
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dependable caregivers to join a team supporting an active adult male with quadriplegia in his home. This individual maintains full-time employment (works from home), drives independently using an adapted vehicle, and enjoys engaging conversations, humor, and building positive relationships with his caregivers. We are looking for multiple caregivers to assist with morning and evening routines, personal care, household tasks, and activities of daily living. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others maintain independence while providing respectful, person-centered support. Shifts will be broken up throughout the day. Needing help in the morning hours to get ready, middle of the day, and evening hours to get settled in from the day. Responsibilities Morning Care Assist with getting out of bed using a Hoyer lift ( at times) Complete personal hygiene and grooming tasks Assist with dressing and preparation for the workday Prepare light breakfast and beverages Assist with catheter-related care as directed Ensure work area is set up and accessible for the day Daily Support Light meal preparation Light housekeeping duties including dishes, laundry, tidying, and general household upkeep Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) Evening Care Meal preparation and cleanup Assistance with personal hygiene and bedtime routine Bed bath and skin care Catheter care as directed Transfer to bed using a Hoyer lift Ensure comfort and safety for the night Qualifications Experience as a caregiver, CNA, personal care worker, or similar role preferred but willing to train the right candidate Comfortable performing transfers using a Hoyer lift Ability to provide full assistance with personal care and ADLs Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to maintain professionalism while building a positive working relationship Compassionate, respectful, patient, and trustworthy About the Individual The individual receiving support is a friendly, funny, intelligent man who works full-time from home and values his independence. While he requires full assistance with personal care needs, he remains active in his daily life and enjoys conversation, humor, and spending time with people who are dependable and positive.
