!! The Part-Time Caregiver provides compassionate, resident-centered care to elderly individuals in an assisted living community. This position is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life. The caregiver works closely with nursing staff and other team members to provide personalized care while maintaining residents' dignity, comfort, and well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care. Support residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning while following proper safety procedures. Assist with meal service and monitor food and fluid intake as directed. Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families. Observe, document, and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the appropriate staff. Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents. Follow individualized care plans and facility policies and procedures. Promote resident rights, privacy, dignity, and independence at all times. Maintain effective communication with residents, families, coworkers, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous caregiving, CNA, resident assistant, or healthcare experience preferred but not required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with older adults. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely as required. Reliable, compassionate, patient, and team-oriented.

Part-Time position

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift. Must be able to perform the physical demands associated with direct resident care.
