The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent observational skills, and the ability to perform a wide range of caregiving duties. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with daily activities and health management. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Observe and document patient condition, report changes promptly, and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support patients during social activities and facilitate engagement to promote mental well-being Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures to ensure patient safety at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for residents with disabilities or chronic conditions Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience or familiarity with caregiving roles such as assisted living, home health, hospice care, or nursing homes. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or aging-related conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia is highly valued. Skills in patient monitoring, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and use of assistive devices are essential. Experience working within HIPAA guidelines ensures confidentiality and professional standards are maintained. A background in social work or long-term care can be advantageous. Certifications such as CPR and first aid are preferred but can be obtained during training if necessary. Heavy lifting capability is required for safe patient transfers. This position is ideal for caring professionals committed to providing compassionate support while fostering independence and dignity for those they serve.
