Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Respite Care Provider and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will offer temporary relief to primary caregivers by providing compassionate, personalized care in home or community settings. Your energetic and attentive approach will ensure clients receive the support they need to thrive, while you enjoy the rewarding experience of fostering independence and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills and contribute positively to our community. Duties Deliver high-quality assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their overall health status, reporting any concerns promptly Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and conduct patient transfers safely and efficiently Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and company policies Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other developmental disabilities through tailored activities and compassionate engagement Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented effectively Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Strong knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism spectrum disorders highly desirable Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility for individual needs Must be reliable, compassionate, energetic, and committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care Join us in creating a supportive environment where caregivers empower individuals to maintain their independence while receiving the compassionate assistance they deserve.
