Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated night shift caregivers to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need during overnight hours. This vital role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. As a night shift caregiver, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver personalized care in a respectful and nurturing environment. Duties Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition during overnight hours Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, ensuring they feel safe and cared for throughout the night Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition using CPR and first aid skills; escalate issues as needed Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards Support with meal preparation and light cleaning duties to uphold a clean, safe, and comfortable environment Skills Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts; perform physical tasks required for resident support Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and providing compassionate resident support Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy at all times Experience with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and quality of care Join us if you're passionate about providing dedicated nighttime support that enhances residents' quality of life.
