We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. Are you looking for a job where you can provide 1:1 care to a child, help a child's development, and work in a positive environment? This is the position for you. We are seeking an engaging respite worker to provide respite for a 7-year-old boy in Schofield, WI. This boy loves numbers, Minecraft, Uno card games, crafts, and likes to play outside (mostly in the summer) and on the Wii game system. Respite care will be conducted in the kid's home. Community outings are also encouraged.
SCHEDULE 5
hours a week Mostly on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Evening and weekend hours Flexible schedule to be determined by family. TASKS Supervision and Safety Interacting and Guidance Build confidence/independence Companionship and Social Engagement Assist in maintaining routine, including ADLs (daily hygiene reminders/ assistance) Engage with the client and encourage appropriate behaviors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Authorized to work in the U.S. Criminal/Caregiver background check. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance preferred. Compassionate individuals with childcare or respite care experience preferred. Experience working with children with mental health and/or behaviors preferred.
